Ride1Up Revv 1 Review: Blurring the Line Between Moped and E-Bike

The 52V Advantage

Most commuter e-bikes run on 48V systems. The Ride1Up Revv 1 utilizes a 52V architecture, preventing voltage sag when the battery drops below 50%. Our telemetry confirms this maintains a much higher top speed during the bottom half of the battery's charge cycle.

Moped Aesthetics, Bicycle Laws

While it looks like a cafe racer motorcycle, the Revv 1 ships as a Class 2 e-bike. However, off-road mode can be unlocked via the display, allowing the 750W (peak much higher) Bafang motor to push past 28mph.

Component Analytics

The inclusion of 4-piston hydraulic brakes is a massive safety upgrade over the standard 2-piston setups found on competitors like Super73. At 20mph, our lab recorded a stopping distance of just 12.5 feet.
